Evaluations

Attendance at evaluations is strongly encouraged!

Evaluations allow us to form an up to date assessment of each player's skills and balance ability levels across teams as fairly as possible. The more players who attend evaluations, the better we can calibrate teams to ensure an enjoyable season.

Players will have an opportunity to demonstrate their fielding, throwing, baserunning and hitting skills across a variety of stations. Pitching evaluations are optional. Our goal is to have evaluations take no more than 30 minutes per player, but timing is dependent on the number of players attending.

Parents will also have an opportunity to meet with coaches and ask any equipment related questions. Players will need to bring their own gloves. This year, LTRC is requiring all bats used in league play be pre-approved and receive an official sticker. Please bring any bats that you plan on using during the season so they can receive a sticker upon approval. There will be other opportunities for bat approval if you cannot make evaluations.
